Why I Love #FRAwards - Front Events
Last year Front Events won our Best Industry Event award, for its Financial Services Expo shows in London, Manchester, and now Glasgow. We spoke to Front Events managing director James Prosser about why winning a Financial Reporter award was important to them.
FR: What impact has winning a Financial Reporter award had on your business?
It was an incredible feeling winning the Best Event category last year especially as it was our first year in business. When I came up with the concept for the show, I felt I was onto a winning formula and this has helped to prove it to me as the industry has clearly agreed! It's a stamp of approval from the people who visit our shows each year, and it means so much to us to know that
FR: What advice would you give to this year's potential winners?
If you are exhibiting at FSE Manchester the following day, don’t drink too much at the awards party!
FR: Why is it so important to recognise good practice within the industry?
Whether it’s the finance industry or any other industry, best practice is vital and everyone likes to be associated with success. By recognising those who go above and beyond to make the industry work, it encourages a better and more effective culture within the industry.
FR: Why should you win an award again this year?
We are still a young company and that shows in our fresh approach to everything that we do. We have listened to what the industry wants and you will see this in all of our shows in 2015. At front Events we believe that no one will hand us success, we have to go out and make it for ourselves.
FR: Any advice for Winners’ Party attendees?
Enjoy the night and the recognition and don’t drink too much!
