Hampshire Trust Bank appoints BDM for the North West

Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Waqar Khan as business development manager for the North West.
Khan will manage his own portfolio of brokers across the region, alongside regional account director Wes Baker, who continues to manage relationships within his established network.
Khan joins from LendInvest, where he was BDM for the North West and North Wales, supporting intermediaries across buy-to-let, bridging and residential mortgages. He previously held a business development role at Aldermore, following roles at Lloyds Banking Group in relationship management and mortgage team management.
Waqar Khan commented: “Having worked with brokers across the North West, I know how important it is to have a lender who takes the time to understand a case and is accessible throughout the process.
“HTB has a strong reputation for its specialist approach and the relationships it builds with brokers. I’m looking forward to being part of the team, continuing to work with the contacts I’ve made across the region and building new partnerships.”
Danny Kiely, head of sales, specialist mortgages and bridging at HTB, said: “Waqar brings valuable specialist lending experience and a strong understanding of the support brokers need when placing specialist cases.
“His appointment gives us greater capacity in the region and means more brokers can benefit from having a dedicated contact to discuss their cases with. Being accessible and working closely with intermediaries is a big part of how we work at HTB. I’m delighted to welcome Waqar to the team.”
