GB Bank enhances bridging refurbishment finance proposition
The range is designed to help property investors and developers unlock the potential of residential and mixed-use assets through flexible funding solutions.
GB Bank has enhanced its bridging refurbishment finance proposition, with refurbishment rates starting from 0.79% per month.
The offering builds on the bank's bridging proposition and provides funding for light and medium refurbishment projects, supporting borrowers looking to improve, reposition, or enhance properties before sale, refinance, or retention.
The proposition is suited to a wide range of projects, from cosmetic upgrades such as new kitchens, bathrooms, windows and heating systems, through to more extensive works including loft conversions, small extensions and other value-add improvements that do not require major structural alterations.
GB Bank can now provide funding for up to 100% of refurbishment costs, subject to criteria, alongside flexible staged drawdowns that align funding with project milestones. Borrowers can also benefit from rolled-up interest options, helping to reduce monthly cashflow pressures throughout the refurbishment period.
The bridging refurbishment proposition complements GB Bank's broader specialist lending range, which includes core bridging, bridge-to-term, buy-to-let, commercial lending and bespoke funding solutions for larger and more complex transactions up to a maximum loan size of £25m.
Asim Shirwani, head of bridging at GB Bank, said: "The refurbishment market continues to present significant opportunities for investors looking to add value to properties and improve housing stock across the UK. Our bridging refurbishment finance proposition has been designed to give brokers and their clients access to fast, flexible funding that supports both light and medium refurbishment projects.
"Whether it's a light refurbishment or a more ambitious project, GB Bank offers standard bridging rates from 0.69% per month and refurbishment rates from 0.79%, with funding available for up to 100% of refurbishment costs. It's another way we're helping borrowers bring projects to market with confidence, supported by the personal service and practical lending approach that sets GB Bank apart."
