Atom Bank boosts commercial BDM team with two new hires
The duo have previous experience at Coventry Building Society and Aldermore Bank.
Atom Bank has strengthened its commercial business development team with the appointments of Jayne McCann and Sean Thorn.
Jayne joins from Coventry Building Society and will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with brokers.
Sean boasts an extensive background in both business development and commercial broking, including more than a decade at Aldermore Bank, as well as running his own commercial finance brokerage business.
Both Jayne and Sean will be supporting Neil Findlay, senior commercial BDM, in the London and South region.
David Castling, head of intermediary distribution at Atom Bank, commented: “I’m thrilled to have Jayne and Sean joining the Atom Bank BDM team. By investing in our commercial BDMs, we are making it easier for brokers to work with Atom, not only spreading the word about our proposition but also providing experienced contacts for brokers to work on deals and talk through issues with.”
Jayne McCann said: “Atom Bank’s BDM team is renowned across the industry for the level of service it provides, and I’m excited to have a chance to be part of it. I’m really looking forward to getting started, meeting all of the brokers across my region and helping them to support their commercial clients.”
Sean Thorn added: “Relationships are absolutely crucial in commercial lending - brokers need contacts they can rely on to talk through the nitty gritty of individual cases, to try to find a way through to a successful application for their client. I’ve seen that from both sides, as both a BDM and a broker, and I will bring that experience to support brokers across the South of England.
“I'm excited to be part of this force in UK banking that shares my values of sincerity, service and growth for all; understanding that technology leads the way but people remain the focus. Atom presents an efficiency based proposition that maximises the user experience.”
