Step One Finance expands lending team
Specialist lender Step One Finance has hired Target Group's Steve Khan as Head of Commercial Development, as well as expanding its underwriting and operational teams.
"I am extremely pleased to join some previous work colleagues and the rest of the Step One team at such a strategic point in their journey."
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry at firms including John Charcol, Platform Homeloans, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Paratus AMC.
In addition to Steve’s appointment, Nathan Lewis has joined Step One as a trainee underwriter, while Amber Saghir takes up the role of risk analyst with a focus on regulatory compliance in the company’s risk and operations team. Bethany Hudson also joins this month as an accounting apprentice.
Michael Childress, Co-Founder and CEO of Step One, commented: “It is fantastic to have someone of Steve’s calibre join the Step One team. Steve has broad experience which has touched most segments of the UK mortgage market over the last 30 years and is ideally positioned to contribute to Step One’s expansion and growth plans.
“We are very excited to be able to welcome such a talented group of individuals to the Step One team.”
Steve Khan added: “I am extremely pleased to join some previous work colleagues and the rest of the Step One team at such a strategic point in their journey.
