Santander cuts high-LTV mortgage rates by up to 0.27%

The latest reductions cover the bank's first-time buyer, home mover and remortgage rates.

From tomorrow, Santander is reducing rates across first-time buyer, home mover and remortgage fixed and tracker rates by up to 0.27%.

In its first-time buyer range, selected 85-95% LTV two-year fixed rates are reducing by up to 0.15%, starting from 4.81%. 

All 85-95% LTV three-year fixes are reducing by up to 0.23%, starting from 4.90%, and 90-95% LTV five-year fixed rates will decrease by up to 0.14%, starting from 4.89%.

All products come with a £999 fee and £250 cashback. In addition, a 90% LTV two-year tracker is reducing by 0.10% to 4.95% with no fee.

Home mover rates are reducing by up to 0.24%, with the largest cuts to 85-95% LTV two-year fixes, now starting from 4.84%. All three-year fixes are reducing by up to 0.23%, starting from 4.52%, with five-year rates available from 4.52%. All two-year tracker rates are reducing by up to 0.19% with rates starting from 4.22%.

For remortgage, all fixed rates are reducing by up to 0.27%. From tomorrow, two-year fixes will start from 4.57%, three-year fixes from 4.74%, five-year fixes from 4.61%, and 10-year rates from 5.02%.

Santander says several of its remortgage rates are now the lowest on the market, including two-year fixed rates from 4.62% at 60% LTV, 4.74% at 75% LTV, and 5.15% at 90% LTV.

The reduced rates are available to customers applying via a broker or directly, under Santander’s ‘no dual pricing’ pledge.
