Robin Pearson rejoins The Right Mortgage as head of risk
Robin has held previous roles at LSL Property Services, Accenture Operations, UKAR, FOS, KPMG and Deloitte.
The Right Mortgage & Protection Network has announced the return of Robin Pearson as its new head of risk.
Pearson will oversee TRM’s risk management framework and compliance strategy, with responsibilities covering complaints handling, acting as data controller for the business, managing data protection and GDPR compliance, and maintaining the compliance manual.
Robin will also oversee adviser and product risk, and provide regulatory updates to the board.
He returns to TRM having previously worked as compliance manager and business development manager between 2017 and 2023. During that time, he trained and mentored 24 non-CAS advisers, implemented new management information frameworks, and acted as the network’s vulnerable customer champion.
Robin was at Mortgage Connect (NI) most recently, where he was compliance manager. He has also held roles at LSL Property Services, Accenture Operations, UKAR, FOS, KPMG and Deloitte.
Robin’s areas of expertise include Consumer Duty implementation, training and competence, complaints oversight, AML and financial crime controls, and adviser supervision.
Jack Norrey, compliance director at The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, said: “We are delighted to welcome Robin back in this pivotal role. His extensive track record in risk, governance and adviser development, combined with his deep understanding of TRM, will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our compliance framework. Robin’s leadership will ensure advisers are supported in meeting regulatory expectations and, crucially, in delivering good outcomes for their clients.”
Robin Pearson added: “It feels great to return to The Right Mortgage & Protection Network, an organisation where I’ve always felt aligned with the culture and the commitment to doing the right thing for advisers and their customers. In my new role as head of risk, I’m excited to build on my past experience here and help shape a strong, forward-looking compliance and governance strategy for the network.”
