Alliance Trust Plc today announces that it is to close its private equity business, Alliance Trust Equity Partners, which employs six people and manages £110 million, or 3.8 per cent, of net assets as at 28 February 2011.
The Trust will look to wind down the exposure over the coming months in order to maximise the returns to the shareholders.
