The new arrangement will mean that Legal & General will offer its general insurance products through Wales’ largest building society.
The GI products, which include Your Home Cover and Your Home Cover Plus buildings and contents insurance cover will be available in branch, over the telephone and online.
As part of the new agreement, both businesses said there will be additional focus on developing new initiatives and capabilities to further enhance the current proposition.
Damian Thompson, Principality Building Society’s Director of Distribution, said:
“We are committed to providing the best financial products and service to our members and customers and this involves consistently reviewing our processes and procedures to ensure that we continuously improve. Our new home insurance offering with Legal & General will allow our customers to deal with us in the way that they want, when they need it the most. Whether that’s in branch, online or on the telephone they will be able to move between the options whilst continuing to receive the standards of service that they have come to expect from Principality”.
Mark Holweger, Managing Director, Legal & General Insurance (Partnerships), added:
“This new deal with Principality Building Society is a great example of how our aim to provide an outstanding service and proposition has helped to extend this valued relationship with our partner.
“We believe it’s important to provide products that are relevant, affordable and meet the needs of our customers. We will continue to embrace changes to improve what we do to ensure we grow both our businesses in a successful and responsible way.”
