New mortgage and protection brokerage launches
The brokerage will target homeowners, landlords and property investors while specialising in mortgages for expats.
New brokerage, FORTO Finance, has launched in the UK mortgage and protection market.
The new brokerage will support a broad range of borrowers and offer advice on residential mortgages, remortgages, buy-to-let lending and specialist property finance, alongside protection.
FORTO is founded by seasoned mortgage and protection adviser, Anthony Curtis (pictured), and supported by operations manager, Esmé Rook.
FORTO has completed a pilot ahead of launch and will support a broad range of borrowers, including first-time buyers, home movers, self-employed applicants, high net worth individuals and property investors seeking specialist funding solutions – with a particular focus on expat borrowers.
The FORTO name draws inspiration from the Italian word 'forte' and the Latin word 'fortis', reflecting strength, confidence and forward progress. The brokerage has adopted a fox as a central part of its brand identity. Representing intelligence, instinct, and agility, the company says the fox reflects the qualities the business believes are increasingly valuable in today's mortgage market.
Anthony Curtis, director of FORTO Finance, commented: “We’ve been running a pilot since April and we now know the proposition works. The number of choices available to borrowers has increased significantly in recent years, while affordability requirements and lender criteria are evolving all the time. Clients need advice that helps them understand their options and make informed decisions. Our focus is on providing clear recommendations, responding quickly and helping clients make progress towards their financial goals.
"We've built FORTO Finance around the belief that good advice should give people confidence to move forward, whether they're buying a home, refinancing an existing property or funding their next investment. The focus on expat mortgages has come out of that."
