Starting from tomorrow, the three year rate is fixed at 3.29% until 30th June 2018 (down 0.70% from 3.99%), and the five year rate is fixed at 3.79% until 30th June 2020 (down 0.60% from 4.39%.
The procuration fee for these new fixed rates has also been increased from 0.35% to 0.45%.
Cammy Amaira, Head of intermediary sales, said:
“We continue to keep our mortgage offering competitive and the cut in our rates proves this point. Some 80 to 90 percent of our mortgages are distributed through the intermediary channel.
"The feedback that we have received from intermediaries since the Family Building Society launched in July 2014 has been very positive, especially in relation to the Family Mortgage which allows family members to help first time buyers through providing security and offsetting facilities. We have listened to their views and kept both the interest rates and procuration fees keen."
