Voting opens for the 2019 Financial Reporter Awards
Voting for the highly-coveted Financial Reporter Awards has opened, in what marks the tenth anniversary of the awards programme.
"It’s clear that intermediaries really appreciate the freedom to vote for whoever they feel deserves the accolade."
Launched in 2009, the Financial Reporter Awards were developed to support the industry by promoting good practice and excellent service, and to reward those who uphold these values.
The unique voting system for the awards is now open, which amplifies the voice of the intermediary community by allowing brokers to vote for whichever company or individual they feel is the best, most innovative, or most deserving in each category – without panels or judges.
With categories including mortgages, specialist lending, later life, protection, legal services and technology, brokers are free to tell us exactly who is going the extra mile – as well as individual awards to celebrate those whose personal efforts have been appreciated by our voters.
Last year's awards saw more voters than ever before, with over 7,500 votes cast - a number which has increased every year since the Awards launched, and one which we hope to beat this year.
Voting is open from today – you can visit our awards website and cast your votes at www.financialreporterawards.co.uk.
The top three finalists in each category will be announced on 11th April, before the winners are revealed at our Financial Reporter Winners’ Party on 14th May.
This year’s Winners' Party will take place in the historic and unusual Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on 14th May, where hopeful finalists will line up to find out who has been named your winners for 2019.
James Lucas, director at Barcadia Media, said: “We are always thrilled to open up the voting for a new year and see the votes rolling in from across the industry – it’s clear that intermediaries really appreciate the freedom to vote for whoever they feel deserves the accolade. A decade ago we launched these awards in the wake of the financial crisis and it was a huge boost in those trickier times to see the positivity that the awards helped generate. That tradition of positivity has continued, evident in the huge number and diversity of nominations, and it shows that there are a huge number of firms in our industry who are working exceptionally hard and getting excellent results.
“I’m sure there will be plenty of fantastic companies nominated again this year so I urge our readers to really make their voices heard and vote if there’s one who stands head and shoulders above the rest, and - of course - good luck to all the hopeful businesses!”
