Skipton appoints trainee intermediary regional manager
Skipton Building Society has appointed Serena Smith to its team of intermediary regional managers.
"The Trainee IRM role is a great opportunity for Serena and demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people. "
- Jackie Didcock, Regional Intermediaries Manager
Serena joined the Society in 2016 and worked in Skipton’s customer delivery team before leading the mortgage maturities and switching team.
In her trainee IRM role, Serena will have the opportunity to spend time with Skipton’s senior IRMs and learn more about the world of intermediaries. After six months, she will then work closely with 25 brokers located near to Skipton’s head office.
Serena said: “I am extremely proud to have been given such an amazing opportunity with Skipton Building Society. Being the second person to embark on such a wonderful training course is proof Skipton is a great investor in its people.”
Jackie Didcock, Regional Intermediaries Manager, added: “The Trainee IRM role is a great opportunity for Serena and demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people. As a business it is important that we look to the future and succession planning is a vital part of our strategy to ensure that our brokers are well supported.”
