Leek United appoints new Chair
Leek United Building Society has appointed a new Chair to its Board of Directors.
"I see my new role as taking Leek United forward from strength to strength during what will undoubtedly continue to be challenging times for the financial services sector."
First co-opted onto Leek United’s Board as a Non-Executive Director in November 2014, Rachel Court has served as a member of the Risk Committee and Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
Her previous experience includes almost 23 years’ at Yorkshire Building Society, where she was a Senior Executive responsible for customer service and HR.
Rachel succeeds Peter Kerns, who announced his retirement at the Society’s recent 2016 Annual General Meeting.
Rachel said: “Leek United has a very strong role and reputation within the communities it serves, and I’ve very much enjoyed getting involved and contributing to the work of the Society. I see my new role as taking Leek United forward from strength to strength during what will undoubtedly continue to be challenging times for the financial services sector.”
