Leeds BS director joins housing board
Jaedon Green, Leeds Building Society’s Director of Product and Distribution, has been appointed a non executive Director of Leeds Federated Housing Association.
"Leeds Building Society has a long history of supporting affordable housing"
Leeds Federated owns and manages around 4,000 properties across Leeds, Wakefield and North Yorkshire, as well as providing its customers with other services, such as debt advice.
It provides important regional housing capacity through the use of shared ownership and social housing, and has ambitious plans to almost quadruple the size of its development programme and the number of new homes it releases annually, which improve access to affordable homes in Leeds City Region.
Green said:
“Leeds Building Society has a long history of supporting affordable housing, so my appointment is another practical example of our commitment to this sector."
“I’m really looking forward to working with the Leeds Federated board as the association continues to deliver on its purpose, providing high quality housing and working with local communities to make neighbourhoods people want to live in.”
Matthew Walker, Chief Executive Officer of Leeds Federated Housing Association, welcomed the appointment, saying: “Jaedon brings a wealth of financial services experience spanning 30 years, working with Bank of England, Government policymakers, industry regulators and UK Finance (formerly the Council of Mortgage Lenders), as a subject matter expert on housing issues.“
