ifs University College becomes The London Institute of Banking & Finance
ifs University College has rebranded to The London Institute of Banking & Finance.
"We aim to be a lifelong partner for the industry and for those who work within it, through the provision of outstanding education and thinking, tailored to the needs of business, individuals and society."
Following approval of the new name by the Privy Council in June, the organisation has now officially changed its name to coincide with the start of the 2016/17 academic year.
Its roots stretch back to 1879 when it was established as the Institute of Bankers.
Alex Fraser, Principal, The London Institute of Banking & Finance, said: “The response to our new name from our students, members and industry employers has been extremely positive, with widespread agreement that it provides clarity on our purpose and speaks to our breadth of provision across academic and professional financial education.
“We aim to be a lifelong partner for the industry and for those who work within it, through the provision of outstanding education and thinking, tailored to the needs of business, individuals and society.”
