FCA's Amiri to join Coventry Building Society Board
Coventry Building Society has announced that Iraj Amiri – currently a member of the Regulatory Decisions Committee at the Financial Conduct Authority – will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval.
A chartered accountant, Iraj brings extensive experience from senior management and board roles in internal audit, risk management and corporate governance. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a partner at Deloitte LLP, becoming Head of the Internal Audit Group and Enterprise Risk Management Group – also undertaking during this time a role as Global Head of Internal Audit with Schroders plc on a secondment basis. In addition to his current role at the Financial Conduct Authority, he holds a number of non-executive board positions with public and member organisations covering auditing, investments and pensions.
