Similarly, Responsible Equity Release clients who are considering equity release to clear debts, but do not meet the basic criteria will be offered expert, face to face debt advice in the comfort of their own home, from one of EuroDebt’s trained and licensed debt advisors.
Equity release is becoming a popular option for people in Debt Management Plans who want to release equity from their home, as part of their overall debt solution. In the past year nearly 5% of EuroDebt clients entering a DMP were over 60 years of age.
Vance Parsons, Director for EuroDebt, said:
“This is an exciting new partnership, which will bring our clients greater choice and support to help them make important financial decisions. Responsible Equity Release delivers a customer focused service, which reflects EuroDebt’s own commitment to helping people take control of their finances.
"The tough economic climate means this partnership has clear advantages for our clients, as well as bringing EuroDebt’s market leading services to a wider audience.”
Steve Wilkie, Managing Director for Responsible Life adds:
“Nearly a third of our clients are releasing equity to manage some form of debt. By offering our clients access to effective debt advice covering the full spectrum of solutions, we can enhance our client relationship and provide new options to help them regain control of their finances.
“EuroDebt shares our focus on providing clients with access to clear, professional financial advice that guides them through difficult decisions. We are committed to making equity release a viable solution for homeowners and a viable retirement planning option.
"We do this by empowering our clients to help them make informed decisions and our partnership with EuroDebt means they will be able to see the alternatives and make an informed choice with no surprises.”
EuroDebt’s client fact find process is designed to focus on finding the right debt solution for an individual through a highly personalised service, including an initial face-to-face meeting. Working closely with individuals to create a proactive plan to deal with defaults and court actions, EuroDebt helps clients manage their debts and take control of their finances.
Together, EuroDebt and Responsible Equity Release will be able to offer their clients a wider range of options, helping them find the best debt solution.
