Estate agents behind the British bridal designer issue of Fabric
Forward creates British bridal designers issue of Fabric in celebration of the Royal Wedding.
Forward, the WPP-owned publishing and content agency, has created a wedding-themed issue of Fabric magazine to celebrate the Royal Wedding in April. Fabric is a customer magazine produced by Forward for REAP Magazines Limited – a consortium of 38 central, North and North West London estate agents.
The magazine celebrates luxury London living in the estate agents’ key areas, and showcases their portfolios of high-end properties.
The April issue, which is published this week, is a topical issue with three different covers featuring wedding dresses from three acclaimed designers.
Circulation for the magazine has recently been increased by 10k to 70k, with the distribution area extended to include Notting Hill. The issue, which includes a wedding supplement, has provided the magazine with an opportunity for increased advertising revenue.
Andrew Campbell, Forward’s Art Director for Fabric said:
“From a creative point of view, we wanted something that wasn’t the typical bridal shoot. We wanted to show that there are other options to traditional meringue-style dress, so with a selection of distinctive dresses from different designers (Caroline Castigliano, David Fielden and Lucia Silver of State Of Grace) we were able to produce a slightly edgier, more contemporary bridal fashion shoot.”
Working closely with State Of Grace, who provided styling, hair & make up, Forward themed each setup:
1.The Classic look – tried and trusted designs from Caroline Castigliano who is famous for her classically understated yet contemporary wedding dresses and bridal gowns.
Her ethos is to design for women who love style and appreciate beautiful fabrics and quality workmanship. The gowns are simplistic, stylish and luxurious.
2. The Vintage look – evoking 40s style with dresses from Lucia Silver of State Of Grace. It has been said that Lucia is more than a designer, more than a stylist and more than a personal shopper. She creates an exquisitely individual look that captures her clients’ unique style.
Everything from make up, hair, footwear and under-garments to the style of the vintage buttons on a dress, receive the same level of passionate and loving attention to detail.
3. The Swan Lake look – a more leftfield approach heavily influenced by Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake with dresses from David Fielden, described by a prominent British fashion editor as “the woman’s secret weapon”.
He has pushed the boundaries of convention in design and garment technology using modern and often unusual fabrics alongside laces and silks. David’s designs are not subjected to the limitations of tradition; they are avant-garde, creative and subtly sophisticated.
