Family BS increases residential and buy-to-let rates by up to 0.60%
The Society has reintroduced a range of residential and buy-to-let fixed rates following their temporary withdrawal due to swap rate volatility.
Family Building Society has relaunched fixed rate products across its residential and buy-to-let ranges, following their temporary withdrawal on 4th September.
The refreshed fixed rate range reflects current swap rate volatility with rates increased by 0.60% and new, longer end dates introduced.
There are no changes to the Society’s variable rate products, including discount and tracker rates, and mortgage reversionary rates remain unchanged.
Darren Deacon, head of intermediary sales at Family Building Society, commented: “Market conditions remain challenging for borrowers and brokers alike, particularly against the backdrop of ongoing events in the Middle East.
"However, people still need to move or remortgage, and brokers need lenders that can provide flexibility and a pragmatic approach to more complex cases. Our refreshed fixed rate range gives intermediaries more options for borrowers who need the certainty of a fixed rate solution.”
