"It will provide us with significant opportunities to collaborate with the industry, especially as we expand our mortgage distribution into the English market."

Danske Bank UK is part of the Copenhagen-headquartered Danske Bank Group, one of the largest financial enterprises in the Nordics.

Yesterday, the Bank announced the launch of its carbon neutral mortgage outside of Northern Ireland for the first time, making it available to homeowners and homebuyers in the South East, South West and East of England, excluding London.

Patrick Mullan, head of GB mortgages, will be the appointed IMLA representative.

Kate Davies, executive director of IMLA, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Danske Bank UK into membership and look forward to hearing more from the team at our upcoming meetings and roundtable sessions. IMLA has long been the voice of a diverse community of lenders, and we look forward to hearing their views on a range of industry issues, and the association will no doubt benefit from the bank’s extensive knowledge.”

Patrick Mullan, head of GB mortgages at Danske Bank UK, added: “At Danske Bank we recognise the value IMLA brings to its members, and it will provide us with significant opportunities to collaborate with the industry, especially as we expand our mortgage distribution into the English market. We look forward to taking part in IMLA’s upcoming engagements, and meeting with its wider membership over the coming months.”
