Aldermore strengthens commercial real estate team
James will support more property investors and developers in accessing bespoke funding solutions across the North of England.
Aldermore has appointed James Evans as business development manager within its commercial real estate team.
James will help strengthen its presence across the North of England and support more property investors and developers in accessing bespoke funding solutions.
James brings extensive experience across commercial banking and real estate finance. He joins Aldermore from Nexa Finance, where he was a BDM supporting customers with development finance. He has also held senior roles at StreamBank and Assetz Capital, specialising in development, bridging and property finance.
Before moving into specialist lending, James spent more than 17 years at Santander, where he held a number of relationship management and director-level roles. During this time, he worked closely with property investors, developers and commercial customers, building long-standing relationships and supporting a broad range of property transactions across the north west and wider UK market.
Azfar Rizvi, commercial director for corporate and commercial lending at Aldermore, said: "James brings a wealth of experience across both traditional banking and specialist property finance, along with a strong understanding of the market in the North of England. His appointment further strengthens our commercial real estate team and enhances the support we provide to brokers and customers across the region.
“Property development is a key growth area for Aldermore and an important part of supporting the development of homes, commercial space and communities across the UK. We’re continuing to invest in our proposition, our people and our relationships across the market, and James will play an instrumental role in strengthening our presence across the North and supporting developers as they pursue new opportunities."
James Evans commented: "I'm excited to be joining Aldermore, which has built such a strong reputation in the commercial real estate market through its specialist expertise and commitment to understanding its customers.
“The opportunity to join a relationship-led team with flexibility to develop funding solutions around customers’ individual needs was a major attraction to me. With Aldermore continuing to invest in its property development proposition, it’s an exciting time to join the business. I'm looking forward to working with brokers and customers across the North, building lasting relationships and helping bring ambitious property projects to life.”
